Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a government scheme which enables the Church to reclaim the tax you have already paid on the money in your offering.  The Church can reclaim tax at the rate of 25p for every £1 donated from 6 April 2014.  Anyone who pays Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax can give through Gift Aid.  A Gift Aid Declaration Form must be completed.

Offerings can be made through the Freewill Offering Envelopes, by Standing Order or by cheque.  Donors will not have to pay extra tax, or reveal their income or the tax they pay.  Giving through Gift Aid will help maintain and develop the work of the Church.

Anyone, wishing to sign a Gift Aid Declaration or requiring further information should contact Jim Menzies, Gift Aid Convener on 01224 742415.
